Police search for missing woman

Updated at 2:16 p.m.: VERSAILLES – Police seek information about a Woodford County woman who has been missing since Friday.

Patricia Last, 65, who owns Longshadow horse farm in southern Woodford, was last heard from late Friday night when she was speaking to a friend by phone, said Versailles Police Lt. Daniel Clark.

But Last hasn’t been seen or heard from since, and that has friends and neighbors concerned. Clark said arrangements have been made for the care of the horses on the farm.

Police searched for Last on Sunday with the assistance of a Lexington police helicopter.

Last is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 158 pounds, has hazel eyes and brown hair.

Man killed, woman critical after Woodford wreck

A man was killed and a woman was injured after a crash on Pisgah Pike in Woodford County.

The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. near 3455 Pisgah Pike, Versailles Police spokesperson Pat Melton said. Investigators were at the scene late Friday trying to determine what caused the 2001 Chevrolet Malibu to crash, Melton said.

The woman was flown to the University of Kentucky hospital with critical injuries, he said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
