Four Morehead men, one Carter County woman and a Florida doctor have opted to change their plea from not guilty to guilty in the alleged drug conspiracy ring involving eight other defendants.
All 14 are accused of distributing the controlled substance oxycodone out of Florida and into several eastern Kentucky counties, including Rowan, Carter, Elliott and Boyd.

A Menifee County psychologist pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of receipt of child pornography.
Chad B. Stafford, 36, of Morehead will receive at least five years prison and a maximum of 20 years, the U.S. Attorney’s office said in a release.
Stafford admitted to downloading at least 300 images of child pornography — some of which included children between ages 4 and 6 — using a peer to peer file sharing program.
Stafford, worked with children from first through twelfth grade, acknowledged that he received the images from September of 2007 until December of 2007.
The case began when an undercover investigation in Houston revealed that Stafford was downloading child pornography. He will be sentenced on March 9.

The second man responsible for a 10-day crime spree in 2007 was formally sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison.
Circuit Judge Beth Maze agreed with the commonwealth’s recommendations and sentenced Brandon McWain to spend the next two decades behind bars for burning the home of Dale Kelsey and the home invasion and burglary at the residence of Darlene Caskey.
