A man used gasoline to rob a Lexington gas station early Monday morning, police said.
According to officers, a man entered the Shell Station at Nicholasville Road and Southland Drive about 2:30 a.m., threw some gasoline at the attendant and demanded money. The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said the gas station worker got some gasoline on his feet, but was not injured.

It appears the robber may have gotten the idea from watching the movie…MONEY TRAIN….there was a scene in it where a robber used a flammable liquid to rob a subway booth.. then set it on fire
This movie has been playing on sattellite tv in the past few weeks.
This is why producers should be very careful about what they put on TV and in movies. They give people ideas and some actually use them to commit crimes.
“satelite t.v.” ha, you mean pay per view or premium. via dish or cable delivered. it’s all the same… satelite t.v. thats funny
From the headline, I thought the robber had gastro-intestinal problems.
jmax…is your tv delivered by parcel post? How do you think “dish” or cable gets tv? Very funny!
Damn this guy was crazy the gas he wasted had to be worth more then what little money he got.
