A 12-person jury and four alternates were seated Tuesday in the second trial for two Central Kentucky attorneys accused of cheating their former clients out of $94 million.

Opening statements will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Frankfort in the trial of disbarred lawyers Shirley Cunningham Jr. and William Gallion, who are charged with wire fraud and conspiracy. Statements are expected to last four hours.
Federal prosecutors said they expected to call as many as four former clients in the afternoon. Cunningham and Gallion are accused of taking settlement money that should have gone to 440 clients, who had sued the maker of the diet drug fen-phen for heart defects. The suit settled for $200 million in 2001.
The trial could last six weeks. The lawyers’ first trial, last July, resulted in a hung jury. Another defendant, Melbourne Mills, was acquitted.
Hope these jurors are better than the last.

What reporter is going to be the first to ask Angela Ford about how she came to represent these people? How did she obtain 400+ clients from a legal settlement that was negotiated? When a corporation such as AHP settles they do so to protect their interest, and usually require some sort of nondisclosure from those they settle with.
After finding out that— It would be interesting to uncover the next layer of this saga, that FORD did IN FACT aggressively SOLICIT the majority of these clients– and is NOT ENTITLED and waives her right to ANY FEES because of non-solicitation rules. She sent letters and newspaper clippings to hundreds in order to obtain clients. Also, it is well known that she does not like Chesley, esp. after he commented about her Lexington Diocese case… Does she has anything to say to press about these topics? Will anyone ask?
who cares? She’s recoving stolen money for innocent fen-phen victims! What’s at issue is, how julia roberts tiger woods, I mean Chesley, stold over $11 MILLION from these victims! And the public, the Bar, and other attorneys & professionals, want Chesley put on trial and convicted. People are sick & tired of his MASSIVE THEFT OF VICTIMS SETTLEMENT MONEY, AND WANT CHARGES AND PUNISHMENT BROUGHT AGAINST HIM!
The question about how Angela Ford came accross the 440 fen-phen
clients is not the concern here. The concern here is what Angela
has done for these 440 clients to see we get our money back from
the swindlers that took our money. Angela did not SOLIEIT CLIENTS
we found our way to Angela. There were no adds like what Mills,
Cunningham ran in papers or on radio. Go on and let reporters ask
how Angela found the 440 clients? Sure the clients will all stand
up for Angela. Angela Ford has gone up against the lawyers,judge
in the fenphen case that thought they could not be touched.
