- slannen@herald-leader.com

Police say suspects in a robbery Sunday night used bleach  as a weapon during a cigarette heist.

The robbery occurred a little before 11 p.m., when four males entered the Convenient market, 1116 Winburn Dr., threw bleach on the manager and then stole cartons of cigarettes, said Lexington Police Lt. Fred Lisanby.

The store employee did not go to the hospital.

These four theives should have thrown the bleach on themselves, not any working store clerk. Maybe when they are caught they’ll be given some great cleanup job at the detention center which requires the use of bleach in the bathrooms. Just a suggestion for the judge and lawyers for the working for a living, store clerk.
