Lexington police are investigating three Shell gas station robberies in three days, but investigators haven’t determined if the incidents are related.

The Shell at 1949 North Broadway was robbed about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said. The Shell on Man o’ War Boulevard and Saron Drive was robbed about 8:45 p.m. Monday night. And another Shell, at 2420 Richmond Road, was robbed Saturday.

Suspect descriptions were not immediately available.

A Northeast Ohio native, Delano started his journalism career as a night cops reporter at the Belleville News-Democrat. In 2003, he made the trek to Lexington to take the reins as the newspaper’s daytime cops reporter. Delano, a graduate of the University of Akron, has won numerous awards for breaking news, spot news and investigative journalism.
