I just really want to ask why one woman was put in jail and charged and the next one wasn’t when it ended in a worse scenario in the long run. True, it is exactly true people make mistakes, but when do we really realize that and stop misjudging some people with the misperceptions of child abuse and neglect, one woman was sent to jail in Lexington for doing less than this, really, when is that going to stop? I am sure this woman is in grief, but what makes her better than the next one when the next one does less than she did and is treated even more unreasonably about it? Why don’t we look at stuff like that?

This is a very sad situation. It happens way to often. The car makers need to develop an alarm system to warn them that a child ist still in the car. Air bags can determine if a child or an adult is in the car why not an alarm to detect a forgotten child.

I don’t understand how someone can leave their little grandchild in a car and forget about them. I would never forget about my grandson like that. That’s just awful.

As some have said,how tragic. Before you judge this lady ask yourself ,have I ever left the iron on, the water running,ran out of gas,etc. The (overwhelmed) world we live in causes us all to do things we never could imagine. we do not know what this lady had on her plate. the little one was probably asleep and with that in mind all of us could be in her shoes. please pray and keep your hate filled words to yourself.may God bless all of us as we go from day to day.

How can someone forget a child in a car? Normally kids are not even that quiet, but say the child was asleep….who doesn’t at least glance in the passenger and backseats to make sure they haven’t forgotten anything? It just completely blows my mind how this could ever happen. So very sad.

This is so tragic. I have known this woman for a few years and she really is a good person, I can only imagine the guilt she is feeling. But there is no excuse for forgetting a child in a car. I can’t imagine how someone could do that. I feel so bad for the family, how could this not just tear the family apart? This family needs everyone to pray for them.

People make mistakes. The women might not have been use to taking care of her grand child. This women will have to live with what she did for the rest of her life. I understand that this was a horable mistake but you really do need to put your self in this womens shoes before you start judging her. It could happen to anyone.

Unless you have walked in someone’s shoes, do not judge. I am sure the grandmother is feeling an unbelievable pain. What she did was wrong..and she is paying the price. She will live with this for the rest of her life. Just pray for the family, pray they find comfort and peace…i am sure they feel like they will never have those things again at this moment.
