BEREA — Berea police have arrested two former officers of the Foley Middle School Parent-Teacher Organization for allegedly taking several thousand dollars of the group’s money.

Oscar Combs, 43, and Michelle Couch, 35, were arrested Tuesday following an investigation by Berea police into problems in the 2007-08 parent-teacher organization budget, according to a police news release.

Police have not determined the exact amount of money that is missing, the release stated. Combs was president of the organization and Couch was treasurer during the 2007-08 year.

Both were released from Madison County jail Wednesday evening after paying 10 percent of a $3,000 full cash bond. They will be arraigned Oct. 15 in Madison County District Court.
