Lexington police have arrested and charged a Paris man with first-degree criminal abuse in connection with injuries, including a skull fracture, that sent a toddler to the hospital early Wednesday.

Kerry D. Kenney of Paris, Kentucky has been arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse for causing serious physical injury to a Lexington toddler in his care.
Police say the 2-year-old boy received a skull fracture and other broken bones and injuries while in the care of Kerry D. Kenney, 22.
Lexington police received a report about an unresponsive infant about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday from Allante Brook Court, in south Lexington off Wilson-Downing Road.
The child was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment.
Lexington police spokeswoman Ann Gutierrez said on Thursday that police had not been updated on the child’s condition.
The child lives with his mother and her boyfriend.
The boy’s name has not been released.

So it figures it is always the mothers boyfriend. why do once good and smart people do such stupid things!! God bless the child, and have no mercy on the boy friend.
IGNORANCE!!! thats a common story, the mother’s boyfriend ends up hurting her child. the guy was probably jealous and took it out on the kid when he should have packed his things and left instead. that poor child…
Anyone that abuses an innoncent baby needs to be hung from a short rope by the neck. My grand daughter is married to a tattoed freak that choked my great grand daughter. She is stupid enough to stay with him. I hope she wises up before he kills this child
I know the family of the child. This has been very hard on all of them especially the baby. He is facing so many obstacles for a 2y.o. And the culprit is out on bond. I hope he is found guilty and sent to the meanest prison and receives the treatment he deserves. He should be tortured every day for what he has done to this defenseless child and his family. Please keep the baby and his family in your prayers.
