An Eastern Kentucky University student was stabbed in the arm during an on-campus party early Sunday morning.

Dominique L. Johnson, 19, from Louisville, was at a party sponsored by a campus organization in the Weaver Building gymnasium when he was stabbed in his upper left triceps during an argument, according to a news release from the university.

Friends took Johnson to Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond, where he was treated and released, EKU spokesman Marc Whitt said.

The hospital notified EKU police at 2:49 a.m. Sunday.

EKU police are investigating the stabbing.
