GEORGETOWN — A Georgetown woman faces several charges because police say the woman was intoxicated and allowed an unlicensed 15-year-old to drive while the woman and her 14-month-old child were riding in the car.
On Tuesday night, a Georgetown police officer saw a 1999 maroon Toyota Camry traveling the wrong way on a one-way street, according to a police report. The officer went to the vehicle and saw girl behind the wheel. The police report said Allie C. Crenshaw, 33, smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and seemed generally confused. The officer found an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The police report does not state the relationship between Crenshaw and the 15-year-old. The toddler was her daughter.
Crenshaw was charged with third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, permitting an unlicensed person to drive, alcohol intoxication in a public place, and possession of an open container in a vehicle.
Crenshaw is scheduled to appear in Scott County District Court at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Who Cares!!! This story is only filler for a paper that has nothing but trash to talk about.
LOL! I recommend a nice brie with that whine.
Someone needs to tell Crenshaw that a “designated driver” must be a LICENSED driver. Thank God the police caught up with that car before they or someone else got hurt–or worse!
If the kid knew how to drive she knew how to drive, I got in trouble once for letting my kid drive, but neither of us were drunk. I can say this I use to let him sit in my lap and drive that is how he learned to drive and he saved our lives one time when I fell asleep and he steered the car off the interstate for me. That was before they had all the seat belt laws, he was about 12 then, he was 15 by the time they got us for it and he wasn’t in my lap driving he was driving and not really doing anything wrong it was just New Years day and they happened to see us and they put me on probation for a year for it and he had to get his license which he did when he turned 16, he has had some tickets for speeding, but he has not had an accident that has been his fault as I know of, I trust his driving in any kind of weather conditions, he is in his 30’s now. I have to knock on wood now that he doesn’t get in an accident, and I think he has slowed down some since then too. If he knew that I posted this about him he would probably want to get me or something, LOL LOL LOL
And as an after thought we right now have a 10 year old child said to be one of the best dirt track racers in our state, his father owns the racetrack, so he is allowed to speed around it. He is allowed to drive with the adults. They say that is possible not because he is old enough to get a real license, but because his father owns the track.
