A Lexington man has been arrested as a suspect in a fatal shooting in April on Whitney Avenue.
U.S. marshals arrested James Demetrius Mullins, 29, about 7 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Chatsworth Drive, in Lexington’s Eastland neighborhood, Lexington police Sgt. Paul Williams said. Mullins has been charged with murder and parole violation. He is being held at the Fayette County Jail.
Dominic O. Faulkner, 20, of Lexington, was shot multiple times about 2:15 p.m. on April 18 on the 700 block of Whitney Avenue, near Lexington Cemetery off Newtown Pike.
He was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mullins on May 23.
Are you serious? Get a life you loser! Your 9 years older then this young man! You should be a role model for him even if he was being a bad 20 y/o. You LOSER. I guarantee your on POT and have no emotions because that crap makes you crazy and numb making it easier to kill someone. Which then in turns makes you a sick,mean, heartless loser. Good bye forever! After reading the story in the H-L and seeing his interview on LEX 18, this man is the reason my husband has job security(he’s in law enforcement). What really ruffled my feathers was when he stated that it’s not his job to turn himself in, but rather the “cops” job to catch him!!!!! Well, if he didn’t do the crime, then they wouldn’t have to catch him…I certainly hope that whatever lawyer represents him explains that this type of talk doesn’t win any sympathy with the courts. Even if he is innocent of the charges currently, he is a parole violator. He should go back to prison and serve the remainder of his sentence…period, end of discussion. Hurray for the US Marshals Task Force~!!!!!
